What we offer...
Well-Child Examinations
During the first two years of life, well child examination visits are frequent. Your baby will nearly double the birth weight by 4 to 6 months, triple it by one year and quadruple it by 2 years. This is an incredible amount of growth! Well child exams allow us to follow the growth and varying stages of development closely and give the required immunizations and advice that coincides with each visit.
Recommended Well Child Check-Up Milestones
Fort Wayne Pediatrics follows guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. At some physicals, screening tools are utilized for evaluation of your child. Although these are standard screening tools, your health insurance may not reimburse these screening tools under your wellness portion. Cost may fall to deductible. If they are not covered, please lobby for appropriate coverage with your plan.
Sick Child Visits
We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize wait time. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.
Our Walk-In Clinic is open MON-FRI 8am-6pm.

The Truth About Vaccines: A Presentation for Parents from Our Providers - Click to Watch
Each year preventable diseases cause many illnesses and even deaths. Many states, including Indiana, have adopted laws that require children enrolling in school and daycare to be fully immunized. At your child's first office visit, you will receive information about the vaccines that your child will receive, and you will be required to read and sign the consent forms. It is our intent to have all children in our practice immunized appropriately as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Vaccination Hours
Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Our Recommended Vaccines
We strongly support recommendations for vaccinations set forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the State of Indiana. We encourage parents to choose which option is best for each of their children individually.
One of the most important choices a parent can make is to vaccinate against influenza every year. We recommend vaccinating against influenza beginning in early fall.
We offer Tdap and influenza vaccines to caregivers of our patients seasonally. Fees are due at the time of service.
RSV Antibody Shot: Available depending on eligibility.
*Due to recent changes, we are no longer following the CDC vaccine recommendations, and only follow the American Academy of Pediatrics Recommendations.
Insurance
Check with your insurance provider to confirm vaccinations are covered by your insurance. If they are not, or you are uninsured, we are now a VFC Provider and serve Medicaid, uninsured, and underinsured children from birth through 18 years.
VFC PROGRAM: We have become a provider for VFC (Vaccines For Children) and are now able to provide vaccines for those with Medicaid, Uninsured, or Self-Pay in our office!*

*administration fee $20.32 per vaccine

ADHD Prescription Refill
Stimulant medications are regulated by law under Schedule II medications. Therefore, it is required to complete a medication check appointment every 3 months with your provider. These appointments may be scheduled in person or by utilizing the Telehealth option. Do not wait until your child is out of medication to request a refill as this may cause a lapse in treatment.
Because stimulant medications are of Schedule II status, there are strong legal penalties for their misuse. It is illegal to share, borrow, sell, and/or buy them without a prescription.

Check with your insurance company to see if this is a covered benefit for you.

COPE Program
Our COPE program is an Evidence-based CBT-Based Skills Building Programs (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) for children, teens, and young adults/college students designed to help cope with anxiety, stress, and depression by teaching them how to develop skills needed to stop negative or unhelpful thoughts and start thinking, feeling and behaving in more positive ways. Learning that you can’t always control what happens, but you can control the way you respond to what happens, is very empowering. Over 20 studies during a 30 year time span support that COPE reduces anxiety, depression and stress as well as improves self-esteem, healthy behaviors and academic performance.
It is a 7-Session manual-based instructor-delivered program made for children, teens, and young adults using brief, easy-to-follow sessions, complete with skills -building activities, that convey that there is hope for change, and that both depression and anxiety can be improved by learning the skills taught in COPE. It comes with a workbook and is led by our trained Nurse Practitioners.
